Quick Post! If you live in Fairview and has wondered what those silver leaved trees along Regalado and Mindanao avenues are, the answer is lumbang or Aleurites moluccana. The leaves are more silver right now because they are complimented by its white tiny flowers.

congratulations on your fantastic blog! am a great plant lover myself and Ive found out a thing or two about our native trees because of your highly informative writings and great pictures! For one thing I didnt know that Aleurites moluccana was also native here to the philippines! This is the famous candlenut so popular in Malaysian and Indonesian cuisine used to thicken and slightly flavour their foods. Do you know which part of the Philippines it is native to?
